The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out read more to the large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support issue made for intervention experiences a high influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, status sassa SASSA will mobilise additional methods to empower the servicing of all buyers and boost usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
